"There is a pleasure in the pathless woods, / There is a rapture on the lonely shore, / There is society, where none intrudes, / By the deep sea, and music in its roar: / I love not man the less, but Nature more..."
Lord Byron

So, I had a seriously wonderfulChristmas. Here is pretty much what I got:

  • Movies (Horrible Bosses, Burlesque, & Inception)
  • Money/gift cards (Forever21, Target, Service Reproduction, Biggby, Hobby Lobby)
  • An antique book from 1895!
  • An old Robert Frost complete works book from Nicholas’ grandma—he is her favorite author
  • Leather bear coin purse kit from hobby lobby that I thought was baller
  • Gingerbread scented candle (yum!)
  • Some things in my stocking (like face wash, razors, deodorant, etc. — we usually do necessities like these for stocking stuffers)
  • Subscriptions to TIME and National Geographic (So excited)
  • A National Geographic publication called Wonders of the World, to hold me over until my subscription comes
  • Antique colored glasses to hold candles
  • Handmade little journals
  • A cute little embroidered bookmark
  • Clothes & boot socks
  • Funny pajamas from Nicholas (we matched :P) with reindeer drinking from a keg & empty bottles by their feet, haha
  • A block printing kit
  • A frame for my Beehive Collective print (huge one) that Nicholas built
  • And a Charmaine Olivia silhouette print (signed and hand-numbered; #65 of 100 limited prints), with certificate of authenticity and sticker from Nicholas, which would probably have to be my favorite gift. I love Charmaine Olivia’s artwork, and her silhouettes are my favorite, and I was totally surprised with this. He also restored an old frame from a Goodwill outlet for it. It is beautiful, and I can’t wait to hang it up.
